About this Event
Join the Resilient Nation Partnership Network (RNPN), students and resilience professionals nationwide for RNPN’s first-ever Next Generation of Resilience Student Showcase on Wednesday, April 28!
Four students will present their current work and research focused on the following areas:
- Promoting natural hazard mitigation actions.
- Advancing equitable resilience initiatives.
- Expanding capacity through partnerships.
As a participant, we welcome you to share feedback, ask questions and make connections. There will be dedicated time at the end of the presentations to network and discuss experiences, career paths and general questions across the resilience sector.
Meet the Presenters
Selected by a panel of external resilience experts, the following students will be showcasing their research:
- Jessica Hench, Antioch University New England: Utilizing Community-Driven Engagement Practices to Establish a Toolkit of Equitable Adaptation to Inform the Greater Portland Regional Approach to Municipal Climate Action Planning
- Hannah Kushner, Lehigh University: Building Systemic Resilience: A Guide for Small Cities Adapting to a Changing Climate
- Eleanor Davis Pierel, University of South Carolina: Protecting Main Street: Small Business, Community Resilience, and Natural Hazards
- Olivia Vilá, North Carolina State University: Leadership and Environmental Justice: Insights for Equitable Mitigation and Recovery
