Letters of Map Revisions (LOMR) for Engineers
You are invited to attend this webinar on the Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) process. Attendees will learn the importance of maintaining FEMA flood maps; criteria for LOMR; resources and best practices for completing a LOMR; tips for navigating the LOMR process; and LOMR fees and schedule.
About the presenter: Ben Kaiser is an Engineering Manager with AECOM and has 20 years of experience related to MT-2 review and processing as well as other aspects of FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program. He is a registered Professional Engineer and Certified Floodplain Manager, and is currently the Zone 2 MT-2 Lead, which includes FEMA Regions 4, 6, and 7.
Professional engineers attending this webinar will be eligible for one PDH ,and Certified Floodplain Managers can receive one Continuing Education Credit (CEC).

Using MDE’s Dam Tool Application for Hazard Identification & Risk Communication
The Maryland Association of Floodplain and Stormwater Managers Invites you to our lunch and learn featuring MDE’s John Roche. John will present a tutorial on how to use the Maryland Dam Information Mapping Tool and how the tool can assist with public outreach and inform decision making at many levels of government and the private sector.
John Roche is the chief of the MDE Dam Safety Permits Division and board member of the Association of State Dam Safety Officials. In his current role at MDE John strives to “de-mystify” Dam safety by developing and communicating policies, job aids, design requirements and tools like the new Dam Information Mapping Tool. He is a registered professional engineer, and lives in Catonsville Maryland well above the local floodplain.
This session is eligible for CECs to maintain CFM and CM’s to maintain AICP. Credits submitted and pending.
