The Maryland Association of Floodplain and Stormwater Managers Invites you to our lunch and learn featuring MDE’s John Roche. John will present a tutorial on how to use the Maryland Dam Information Mapping Tool and how the tool can assist with public outreach and inform decision making at many levels of government and the private sector. John Roche is the chief of the MDE Dam Safety Permits Division and board member of the Association of State Dam Safety Officials. In his current role at MDE John strives to “de-mystify” Dam safety by developing and communicating policies, job aids, design requirements and tools like the new Dam Information Mapping Tool. He is a registered professional engineer, and lives in Catonsville Maryland well above the local floodplain. This session is eligible for CECs to maintain CFM and CM’s to maintain AICP.
